How does that differ from the normal file name?

It doesn't use special characters

Just the hash of the replay

In comparison to the normal filename, like you are used to in osu.ppy.sh when downloading a replay

I assume the md5hash also has to do with the map the replay will try to work with right?

Like, if you update the map, it will become invalidated
