on bancho, there is a system for loved maps: if mapper decide to make their loved map ranked, they update it and reset leaderboard & status. so, maybe would you make it loved (with tags update) and let mapper update it if they would want to rank it? btw, i really don't know what happened with mapper - temporary retired from osu or something scarier happened with them
as much as i want to be on board with this, i would rather just stay it in graveyard but you never know, it would technically need another BAT for this.
