.NET 4.8 is required to run this client. Download
Until I figure out how to correctly install & use .NET 2.0, It's going to stay at .NET 4.8 for now.

How to customize zoom blur
Close osu! before saving so osu! doesn't override any changes you made.

  1. 1. inside the open 'osu!.[name].cfg' in any text editor, like notepad, and scroll to the bottom of the file and look for anything that says "ZoomBlur" in the text. osu! should generate these values once you start the game. If it's not there then copy and paste whatever values you want to change… click on the box below instructions
  2. 2. edit those values to your liking
  3. 3. save the file & restart osu!

Here's what each value does

ZoomBlurQuality = [any number]
Counts how many screen textures it uses, lower = better performance.
ZoomBlurDistance = [any number]
How far it zoooooms out in pixels, doesn't sync with osu! window resolution. (might change that later)
ZoomBlurAlpha = [number between 0, inf]
Transparency of the zoom effect. (For better explanation on how to set this value, 5 = 5%, 125 = 125%, 60 = 60%)
ZoomBlurBloomAlpha = [number between 0, inf]
Brightness of the zoom effect (same as ZoomBlurAlpha)

oh a new modded client came out and I didn't notice?

if you need any help, feel free to contact me, I might have some experience with client modding
I can help with setting up a .NET 2.0 targetting tools and adding a way to configure stuff through in-game settings

two issues I noticed:
- bass natives are missing, client will refuse to work without them, it will show a clear error, easy to fix
- your osu!.exe.config is missing the setting to allow CLR 2.0 modules to work. this is required due to XNA being .NET 2.0 and your exe being >=4.0. this will fail with a very weird error, but it's also very easy to fix

MD5 is not spoofed
fyi @ladcan, if you want to release a client based on code after 2009, you have to contact Levi for him to approve the mod's MD5 checksum. otherwise people without client testing permissions won't be able to log in.

also, avoid pushing .pdb files to releases. not a big deal in the case of b1700 (iykyk) but other clients don't push debugging symbols.
