So versions that are full screen are just empty on the sides

it's either all 16:9 or 4:3 and tbh 4:3 is much better + doesn't take so many space
|

That requires cropping or scaling the image on only one axis, which would look really bad
|

so either a) use again the image from different version that doesn't have any differences in the screeshot (aside from helpbar under osu logo and logged person) or b) launch version (or overall) old osu and make a new screenshot

Yeah, I think having 4:3 clients have 4:3 screenshots, and 16:9 clients have 16:9 screenshots make the most sense

You could also force non widescreen clients to be widescreen for the screenshot? But like idk
