hello there! so i've created a standard map. this beatmap explains that this will become a learning process from a taikosu (taiko+osu) mapper perspective.

i've never seriously mapped with old-style revival before. i've never played even– i mean, who's saying that you need an experience playing on how to create a map.

Changelog

2025-09-05 - First Upload!
2025-09-07 - Added Easy
2025-09-12 - Adjusted negligible issues picked up by mapset verifier, and then fixed base SV having loooong decimals
2025-09-14 - storyboard. tried using 0.3 but let's see how older clients handle decimals.
2025-09-16 - adjusted lyrics, because my ears went to hasty when trying to take every verbatim to write down the heard lyrics. also reduced the movement's milisecond to -1ms because overlapping increases sb load. the heck…

mod time finally! here's what i have to say:

Easy:
- 03:44:983 (4) - move this slider to x:88 y:184 cuz distance feels high compared to 03:44:060 (2,3) -
- 03:58:713 (3) - no (make a slider that starts at 03:58:491 - and ends on 03:58:713 - pls)

Normal:
- 00:44:752 (1,2) - raise these two up more and lower 00:46:598 (3) - down so that the smaller gap doesn't cause a player to click it too early
- 01:54:906 (1,2,3) - same here ^
- 03:46:367 (5) - i feel like this should go on x:136 y:272, it's a bit too close to 03:46:829 (1) - atm

Hard:
- 00:07:137 (1,2,3) - the diagonal movement between 00:07:598 (2,3) - feels a little awkward for the start of the map, since you don't do it again for a while, so i'd highlight 00:07:137 (1,2) - and do CTRL+G (or CTRL+R on older clients) to reverse this pattern
- 00:58:137 (4,5) - i'd move this stack at x:156 y:124 so it's consistent with the diagonal movement in places like 00:54:444 (5,6,7) -
- 01:04:367 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - as cool as it is to have these types of jumps, i think they're a bit too big… would suggest moving them closer together, put 01:04:367 (1,2,3) - on x:152 y:208 and 01:05:060 (4,5,6) - should be a horizontal flip of that, that way, spacing between the object goes from 3.3x to around 2.2x, which is a lot better for a hard
- 02:14:521 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - same here ^
- 01:09:906 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - a few things her:
— first, 01:09:906 (1) - slider isn't exactly vertical so snap the slider end's nod correctly
— next, 01:11:521 (4) - would move the sliderhead of this to perfectly overlap with 01:09:906 (1) - this slidertail, — lastly, i'd move 01:12:213 (5,6) - in a way where 01:12:213 (5) - isn't so close to the sliderbody of 01:11:521 (4) - as it kinda looks bad that way
- 01:53:983 (8,9) - would reverse the positions of these two circles as rn, the spacing between 01:54:213 (9,1) - feels really awkwardly small, so when you reverse them, the position will make more sense as it's basically on the same spot. if you want to, you could also move 01:54:213 (9) - lower in that case
- 03:21:906 (3) - would reposition this slider so the slidertail isn't so close to 03:22:829 (4) - as the gap between those is awkwardly small
- 03:56:521 (3,4,5,6,7) - this shape isn't symmetrical, adjust it so it's symmetrical :p
- 03:58:367 (1,2) - this is gap is way too ridiculous, do something different with this xp

overall, i really liked playing this one, nice work :D

Easy:
- 03:44:983 (4) - move this slider to x:88 y:184 cuz distance feels high compared to 03:44:060 (2,3) -
> sure
- 03:58:713 (3) - no (make a slider that starts at 03:58:491 - and ends on 03:58:713 - pls)
> you meant make a short slider that starts from 03:58:367 - to 03:58:598 - , so that's understandable. sure.

Normal:
- 00:44:752 (1,2) - raise these two up more and lower 00:46:598 (3) - down so that the smaller gap doesn't cause a player to click it too early
- 01:54:906 (1,2,3) - same here ^
> alright
- 03:46:367 (5) - i feel like this should go on x:136 y:272, it's a bit too close to 03:46:829 (1) - atm
> okay

Hard:
- 00:07:137 (1,2,3) - the diagonal movement between 00:07:598 (2,3) - feels a little awkward for the start of the map, since you don't do it again for a while, so i'd highlight 00:07:137 (1,2) - and do CTRL+G (or CTRL+R on older clients) to reverse this pattern

> sounds great!

> (2)

- 01:09:906 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - a few things her:

> moved away to x336y192 for (8) and x336y288 for (9) since it has an overlap and may not able to read in 01:54:906 -
- 03:21:906 (3) - would reposition this slider so the slidertail isn't so close to 03:22:829 (4) - as the gap between those is awkwardly small

did something different
- 03:58:367 (1,2) - this is gap is way too ridiculous, do something different with this xp
did to make the position same in 03:56:290 - 03:57:444 -

> overall, i really liked playing this one, nice work :D
