00:13:491 - 00:13:731 (2,3) - Honestly would place those two slightly higher than they are currently



00:16:611 - Move slider one to the right.

00:21:411 - 00:22:371 (1,2,3,4,5) - Personally this pattern works better when It's more straight forward like this for example:



00:23:811 (1,2) - those sliders can't fully overlap with eachother.

00:27:171 (4) - would be better to move slider one to the right (closer to circle 3).

00:32:691 - 00:32:931 (2,3) - Would be better if circle (2) around the same or slightly higher position towards slider end body



00:43:491 - 00:44:211 (1,2) - Would wiser to place them that way

01:13:971 (6) - move this circle up by one due to changed place on next circle 9

01:14:211 (7) - This circle in my opinion is too near previous one for a Hard difficulty. Please move it slightly far (but not too far)

01:29:331 (4,5,6) - Those circles would work better if they are placed something like this

Leaving a mod passing by.

Hard:
  • 00:16:611 (1,3) - 00:24:291 (2,4) - Would be neater if you can avoid this slider overlap.
  • 00:44:211 (2,3,4,5) - If you have stacking enabled, you'll understand the overlap is quite messed up. You'll want to move (3,4,5) lower to avoid this issue.

  • 01:55:731 (2,3,4) - 02:05:331 (1,2,3) - Spacing could get even within the triple.


Overall it feels like what a real 2009 mapper would made at that time, mainly thanks to the usage of distance snapping. Though spotted 2 issues that you could improve even further to get the best out of the style.

  • 1. Avoid overlap between objects
    Old styles presents lots of patterns to read, along with your AR7, though having overlaps between objects makes things really messy which you'll want to avoid. Especially along with giant hitbursts, overlaps like 00:08:211 (4,1,2) - 00:48:771 (2,3) - is definitely not something you'll want to do. Try avoid placing objects where you placed right before, and instead go for the empty space for a better readability and a balanced playfield usage.

  • 2. Try using similar pattern when the song is similar
    Individual object placements are fine, such as 01:14:691 (1,2,3,4,1) - was pretty cool. Though the whole map was like you were trying something new every time as the song goes, so it was a bit hard to understand how the song was actually composed. You could try using more similar ideas when the song has a similar context, such as 00:07:011 - 00:22:371 - 01:08:451 - 02:09:891 - etc. Currently, everything were expressed as a variation which made the beatmap structure rather loose.
