Welcome to Titanic's first Score Camp!!!

Titanic Score Camp is a competition to see who can get the most ranked score! It will occur for three weeks, between July 11 @ 15:00 UTC and July 31 @ 15:00 UTC. This is a competition for the Standard mode.

Rules

Your starting ranked score will be recorded on July 11, and final ranked score recorded on July 31. Starting July 11, ranked score gained will be tracked and ranked on the leaderboard spreadsheet.

This is my first time organizing this kind of event. If I make any mistakes on the spreadsheet at any point in the competition, please let me know ^^

You can sign up any time between now and the end of the competition.

You must send Wolfboat this command to play in Titanic Score Camp! Any registrations previously done through the forum thread will not count!

Prizes

First place: $50 (Venmo, US only) or equivalent online store gift card & Profile badge
Second and third place: Profile badge



The first place $50 will be paid out through Venmo (US only, 18+) or a digital gift card to an online store of your choice. Please note you will need to contact me through Discord (@happysatoko) or Twitter to receive the prize! If you do not want the prize, the $50 will be donated to Titanic.

Also, all Titanic Score Camp players will receive a participation stamp!

I will be participating, but I won't be counting my place. So if I am #7 and you are #8, your real place is #7. ^^

Questions about score though, as I forgot how this worked on titanic:

Despite client warnings, do approved maps also contribute to your ranked score?

What gamemodes are allowed for "ranked score?" Is this just Standard only?

How would the prize pool work for other gamemodes then? It wouldn't be fair since Taiko ranked score is *much* lower than standard.

I understand. This was designed as a competition for Standard for me to give back to the community, and I don't know how many people in other modes would really join. So if it is too complex to make fair and that is an issue for people, it will just have to be Standard only. I didn't see the issue with people joining with other modes for fun, but I don't really have the experience in other modes to make it fair if they are at a disadvantage and want it to be competitive. My apologies for jumping the gun a bit.

No no, it's fine.

A typical osu! map, even a Hard difficulty can give more ranked score than a 5* Taiko map for example as Taiko only goes up to I believe 2200 score at max with HR. You could technically 4 mod the entire map, but it wouldn't be worth. The only other gamemode that would be considered maybe fair is catch?

Mania is self explanatory, 1 million score and that's it.

I posted a whole comment thinking through this trying to make it work, but on second thought, it's probably a better idea if I just leave it Standard-only. I really don't have the resources or time, and I don't want a player who worked really hard and made a lot of progress to not be rewarded for their efforts. And if I were to divvy it up, it's also not fair if someone doesn't make an effort, but they're the only player for that mode, so get a prize and a badge, while other people had to work a lot harder. There are just too many variables, and I don't want to mess it up. I'm sorry.
