Thank you very much Ady for Storyboard advices and help

Lyrics

Trying hard to fight these tears
I'm crazy worried
Messing with my head this fear
I'm so sorry
You know you gotta get it out
I can't take it
That's what being friends about

I, I want to cry
I can't deny
Tonight I wanna up and hide
And get inside
It isn't right
I gotta live in my life

I know I, I know I
I know I gotta do it
I know I, I know I
I know I gotta do it

GOTTA TURN THE WORLD INTO YOUR DANCE FLOOR
DETERMINATE, d-DETERMINATE
PUSH UNTIL, YOU CAN'T AND THEN DEMAND MORE
DETERMINATE, d-DETERMINATE
YOU, AND, ME, TOGETHER, WE, CAN, MAKE, IT, BETTER
GOTTA TURN THE WORLD INTO YOUR DANCE FLOOR
DETERMINATE, d-DETERMINATE

Come on and, come on and
Com on and get it going
Come on and, come on and
Come on and get it going
On the dance floor
On the dance floor
D-D-Dance floor
DETERMINATE!

Leave my bgs alone 😭😭😭, everytime I look at a BG when I’m searching for one, I have to evaluate them on how much I will get absolutely demolished because it’s « too much », also I believe this one dates back to 2008 😭😭😭 drawing can legally drink in most European countries xDDD

nice storyboard

overall mapset not really ready for rank (at least per my standards). i think on both diffs the structure used is very weak, for example (on the top diff):

00:46:157 (1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2) - the sounds are the same (that de-ter-mi-nate vocal) but the location of each slider feels random and overlapping each other weirdly. id like to see some repetition of shape here, or some symmetry
00:53:292 (2) - being covered by 00:52:806 (3) - and made invisible for seemingly no reason?
01:03:995 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3) - 01:08:049 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - more patterns overlapping each other oddly and not really having any cohesion with the surroundings, it kind of seems like you're trying to apply some kind of a modern mapping strategy (just using spacing as only mapping device) but then trying to grid map, but grid map focuses heavily on visuals in order to form cohesion between patterns. symmetry is an easy way to do this, as is visual spacing

additionally, the insane's rhythm needs work - right now it sacrifices too much in the way it follows vocals, so the intensity feels a bit nonsensical:
00:43:238 (1,2,3,1,2,3,4,5,6) - there are these bursts of rhythm density i'd expect to see in a chorus section, then
00:46:157 (1,2,1,2,1,2,3,1,2) - the energy completely dies out, with circles that just follow the vocal, & leave massive rhythm gaps where parts of the song are still going strongly (drums, guitar, etc)
00:53:616 (1,2,3,4,1,2) - same here in this part where the vocal pitch goes higher but the rhyhtm is basically all 1/1
its a trend through the whole diff

see if you can work on these things, and your mapset may improve

Thanks (and still thank you a lot Ady for the help with the Storyboard)

Top diff:
For the first point at 00:46:157 - I tried making it more symmetrical with the sliders, might look very similar to before
Moved both patterns to not overlap as much for 00:53:292 (2) and 00:52:806 (3)
Tried to make them less overlappy (if that's even a word) and made them squares mostly, since symmetry was a bit hard to achieve

Insane:
Yeah the rythm isn't that great

for this point, I put the same rythm as top diff since I wanted to emphasize more of the vocals instead of the instruments, otherwise I'll just be unconsciously mapping aimslop :P
And for the these rythms I really do not know what to do without it being weird from the sudden switch from vocal sliders to constant rythm circles or something alike

Thanks for the mods, I'll still try to apply the last point you made for the insane diff 🫡
