as far as i can tell, this is a shop (https://www.reddit.com/r/wallpapers/comments/6li3pp/halflife_2_citadel_1920x1080/) of a picture of a real cityscape. this picture has been snagged for tons of things (albums, videos etc) so i doubt i'd be able to find the source
