veto, if we are avoiding jump farm 2015 maps from being ranked like cold green eyes, why are we ranking stream consistency farm from 2015.

i question why we have a pp system on titanic in the first place if we can block maps for being ranked solely off of "farm" potential and not the mapping itself
arguing further isnt worth it ye, but a curious thing to think about

We rank all maps from 2014 or earlier on Titanic. BATs voted against allowing all 2015 maps to be added, despite us allowing 2015 clients. The concern is less this map, and instead what kinds of maps we rank from later years. Saying that we should not have a pp system for not ranking later farm maps is missing the point. BATs specifically have voted that this servers maps should reflect similar styles matching 2014 or older. Since this is what BATs voted for, its our job to uphold our own standards. This is the problem with this kind of system, IMO the best system is one that is less subjective (such as set a hard limit for age range for maps added from Bancho), but BATs voted against this as well. |

I have a feeling that this server actually doesn't care about nostalgia and is instead just jerking off to a perception of "unfarmable" osu that it has constructed in reaction to an arbitrary system constantly being changed

I do not care if this map gets ranked. I made the veto as my way to challenge the current system we have in place. Right now we pick and choose maps from later eras, but I believe this to be a flawed system due it's subjectivity. I am once again proposing we stop ranking maps after 2015, and simply add all 2015 maps, this way the maps match the clients in terms of last release. |
