About Modding
I will try to check them anytime in Pending Beatmaps or WIP/Help Wanted forums.
About Porting
- If a Taiko chart is forgotten to be ported, there are a few considerations below:
- Only if diffs have no decimals (older clients don't work)
- STRICTLY NO SV MANIPULATIONS (make it single point or only 3 points. 0.80, 1.00, and 1.2x will do) AND FORGOTTEN LEAD-INS. (I've been telling this to myself when someone requests these…)
- Adheres to titanic ranking criteria in general (ex., no bg larger than 1920x1080… etc)
Note above: Mapsets that are already ranked are a plus.
Mapping/modding preferences
- J-POP, visual novel, anime that is released up until December 31, 2015.
- Only if your Taiko beatmap concisely follows proper song representation (intensity/improvisation/intention [to follow as mapper]). Icons are not guaranteed.
- Take note that these statements may not fit today's standards.

Milestone
Things to consider when mapping Taikosu
1. Do the older clients support the Clap hitsound, or will it be ignored?
If a beatmap created in b452 uses Clap hitsounds, how should we handle maps played on pre‑b452 clients that only recognise Whistle and Finish?
2. Can individual note hitsounds be selected and used, or is hitsounding restricted to object types?
Given that versions before b452 can only assign hitsounds to whole circles/sliders, what is the simplest way to preserve intended individual hitsounds when exporting to those older versions?
3. Will the older clients recognise hitsounds using a custom sampleset other than "1"?
When a mapper wants to separate “don” and “kat” sounds via custom sampleset 1 and 2, how can we emulate that distinction on clients that only support a single custom sampleset?
4. Will the Kiai Time effect be present in older clients?
What fallback visual or timing cue can we use for older clients that does not have native Kiai support, ensuring the intended emphasis is not lost?
5. Will the older clients correctly apply varying slider velocities?
Since b595b can’t apply non‑linear slider velocity changes, how can we approximate the intended tempo shifts while keeping the map playable on that version?
